The All People’s Congress (APC) National Secretary General, Lawyer Lansana Dumbuya has confirmed that the party’s executive has been alerted about almost 12 intending candidates for the flag bearer position of the party.
He made the disclosure during the handing ceremony of the Le500M donated by one of the flag bearer of the APC, Dr Ibrahim Bangura, for the completion of the Kono District party office.
Lawyer Dumbuya has also called on the flag bearers of the party who are donating for any APC organs to pass through the executive for record keeping.
In a passionate plea to the intending flag bearers, Lawyer Dumbuya called on philanthropists’ flag bearers not to forget the national executive of the party, which is currently under rehabilitation.
Making his statement during the donation, Dr. Bangura said the gesture was a fulfillment of a promise he made months ago to the Kono District Executive to complement the efforts of other party stakeholders’ contributions to the project. He handed over the donation to the APC National Secretary General, Lansana Dumbuya, Esq. who will in turn present it to the Kono District Executive.
In his remarks, Dr. Bangura lauded the people of Kono District, particularly its illustrious women for their commitment to the party’s progress. He urged the people of Kono to remain united and work collectively towards the district’s development.
He further announced that similar support will be extended to Port Loko and Kambia Districts as part of his broader effort to strengthen the party’s structures nationwide.
Dr. Bangura called on other APC stakeholders to emulate this example by working through the party’s formal structures. He emphasised the need for discipline, unity, and collective purpose as vital conditions for the APC’s victory in the 2028 general elections.
Concluding his statement, Dr. Bangura urged all party members and citizens to support national efforts aimed at combating the growing Kush drug crisis across Sierra Leone.
