Thirty-two year old Abubakar Bah a plumber and thirty-two year old Jacob Vawai a driver made their first appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba Road Court No.1 in Freetown on a count charge of larceny contrary to section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence, on Sunday 13th April 2025, at Sheriff Drive, Malama Lumley in the western area of Freetown did steal one blue TVS star spot motorbike with registration number AOJ 584 valued at twenty one thousand leones (Le21,000) property of Alie James.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused they pleaded not guilty.
The accused persons were not legally represented.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Kekura granted both accused persons bail in the sum of fifty thousand leones each or one surety in like sum and the sureties must be residents in Freetown and should produce their national identity cards depicting their addresses in Freetown and bail to be approved by the Deputy Assistant Registrar. Matter was adjourned to 6th May, 2025.
