Thirty-eight-years-old Mamoud Kamara, an engineer and Alie Barrie, a well digger and Thirty-two-years-old Amara Sesay, a driver, have all made their first appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba road court No.1 in Freetown.
These persons are to defend themselves on various crime related issues.
They were firstly charged on Wednesday 3rd July 2024 at Komrabai Village Lokomasama Chiefdom, Port loko District, north- west region of Sierra Leone.
They are held for conspiring with other unknown persons to commit notably larceny crime.
Count two further stated that on the same date and place the accused persons did steal one B15 3606 CDMA 3/2 site, six Aviat Eclipse IGbps microwave link, one Dc rectifier cabinet 48v.200 Apm, twelve deep cycl VLAR Gel battery and other assorted items equivalent to the total value of three million nine hundred and seventy three thousand seventeen Leones (3, 973, 17, 00) as property of Sierra Leone’s Telecommunication company.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused persons, they pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor Sergeant I.S Bangura sought for a short adjournment date to get proper conference with the witness. Magistrate Kekura, however, had refused bail and sent the accused persons to the male correctional facility in Freetown.
The matter comes up again August 6, 2024.
