Twenty-years-old Anthony Kamara a carpenter, twenty-five years-old Alusine Sesay a labourer and twenty-five-years-old Josephus Mansaray, a labourer have made their first appearance before Magistrate Augustine Brima Samura at Pademba Road Court no.8 in Freetown.
They stood on two count charges to commit conspiracy contrary to law and for store breaking.
They committed the offence on 27th May 2025 at LEOCEM CEMENT factory Bett Street Kanikay Cline Town in Freetown. The suspects conspired together with other persons unknown to commit the crime.
Count two further stated that on the same date and place the accused persons with intent to steal, they broke and entered into LEOCEM CEMENT factory Lubricant store Bett Street Kainkay Cline Town and stole therein two hundred and eight litres CLP Oil, one hundred and eighty litres of EP2 Oil and two hundred and two hundred and eight litres of 15W40 all to the total value of sixty two thousand seven hundred and ninety eight Leones(62,798,00) Property of LEOCEM CEMENT factory.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused person no plea was taken.

C Dumbuya was the lead Prosecution witness number one.
John Mac Adeyemi the principal shop steward at the above factory and an electrician at the electrical department said he recognized the accused persons he recalled on the 27th May 20205 on the above date when he reported for work at the said factory. An Indian worker gave him information and acting upon it he called the security officer and the officer asked him to see him at his security post.
The security man gave him another information which let to the arrest of the three accused persons.
The witness said he interrogated the accused persons and they admitted breaking the store at the said factory. The witness said the accused persons pleaded for mercy and upon that he informed his boss Chraykant who advised him to take an appropriate action on the matter.
He then reported the matter at the Ross Road Police Station and the witness said he went to see the store keeper who accompanied him.
He had observed that certain items were missing all to the total sum of 62,798. And so he later made a statement to the police.
The accused persons were not legally represented and crossexamined by the witness.
Magistrate Samura refused bail and sent the accused persons to the male correctional facility in Freetown.
The matter was adjourned to the 19th June 2025.
