42yrs-old, a driver, Abdul Kamara, has made another appearance before the principal Magistrate Sahar Kekura of the Pademba Road Court No.1 in Freetown.
He had been remanded for an alleged wounding with intent.
The accused was brought on three counts of wounding with intent as contrary to section 18 of the offences against the person Act 1861. And on one count of assault and actual bodily harm which is contrary to section 47 of the offences against the person Act of 1861.
Police alleged that the accused, on Tuesday 21st May 2024 at Docorthy off Wilkinson Road in Freetown, wounded Alusine Sesay, with intent to do him grievous bodily harm, malicious in a manner thereby actual bodily harm.
Lawyer Vanday was representing the accused and he made and application for bail for and behalf of the accused and that his client is a Sierra Leonean. He has reliable sorties who are willing and able to stand on his behalf. He made his application pursuant to section 79 2&3 of the criminal procedure Act (CPA) 1965.
Magistrate Kekura denied bail stating the seriousness of the alleged matter and adjourned the matter to the 4th of June 2024 for further hearings.
9939 sergeant Lahai was prosecuting the matter in court.
