The wise bird is a respecter of all the religions that is more the reason he sometimes worship with Christians in Church and at the same time goes to Mosque to worship with Muslims.

Due to his religious tolerance, Bra Parrot has been awarded with many accolades. He believes that the two major religions in this kingdom, Christianity and Islam worship the same God because at the end of their daily prayers they will say.

AMEN and AMEEN in agreement that God is one and great.

According to information reaching the Parrot, about 2,000 Pilgrims will depart Sierra Leone on 28th May, 2025 as the Presidential Taskforce on Hajj is working diligently to facilitate proper arrangements for them.

The 2,000 pilgrims are expected to perform this year’s Hajj which is expected to start on 8th to 12th of Dhul-Hajjah and June 4th -9th 2025.

Of that figure, about 600 Pilgrims are from Freetown and 1,400 Sierra Leoneans from diaspora.

100 Pilgrims on the Saudi Royal Hajj scholarship will depart Freetown on 30th May 2025.

However, 78 Sierra Leonean diaspora pilgrims are expected to arrive in Madinah on May 19th 2025.

It is also stated that 300 will depart Freetown on May 28th 2025 and the second batch of another 300 will leave on May 29th 2025.

Furthermore, it is also stated that the medical screening of Pilgrims is 95% completed, and that a medical team consisting of three(3) Doctors, three (3) Nurses, one (1) Pharmacists will be accompanying the Taskforce to provide medical support during the Hajj programme.
