People in Africa especially East Africans and South Africans with few in West Africa are leading the way in architectural development.

These Africans in Congo Brazzaville, Rwanda, Tanzania, South Africa  have developed a new mindset: “Africa is in their heart” mindset, meaning their thinking is for Africa to be a shinning example in the world where opportunities are a treasure trove.

We spoke to a Congolese from Congo Brazzaville about their nation’s dream in changing other Africans notion of admiring only Western nations ( Europe, America and Asia ) as having most advanced buildings. He says they as Congolese are challenging that wrong perception being thought of Africa by Westerns and Asians that Africa is still a “forest” place.

“Africa in our heart, they (the Americans, Europeans and Asians) think their countries are the only developed, but we have similar buildings like theirs, good roads, beaches, beautiful skyscrapers and the rest …”

Fred is a Congolese who has travelled a lot and has seen Africa growing to be an icon in infrastructure.

While browsing from his phone, he showed our journalist some glossy and amazing photos of his country Congo Brazzaville.

“These are our roads (overhead roads with trees planted along )”

The Congolese guy showed more and more photos on the growth already taking place in Congo alongside Rwanda which shares boundary with Congo.

“When you travel, you’ll get to admire Africa a lot that we have many fine places now than before,” he said.
