Information reaching Africa24 Newspaper have intimated that one Sheku Kamara a native of Calabatown located in the Western Area of Freetown in the Republic of Sierra Leone was strongly alleged among many other youths that protested against the incumbent government of Sierra Leone from its poor service delivery and bad governance system on August 10, 2022.

Sources say, the vibrant youth leader and ordinary supporter of the main opposition-the All Peoples Congress APC party has been badly accused by the ruling Sierra Leone people’s Party SLPP as one of the key players being referred to as one of those young people who ignited the August 10th 2022 demonstration which led to loss of lives and properties.

Reports roughly say Sheku was a vivacious young die-hearted supporter that was propagating the image and ideology of the APC. And normally put on APC party T-shits at all times due his passionate loyalty. Though, hooligans of the ruling SLPP government sometimes beat him for his faithfulness towards the opposition party APC.

Inside sources however stated that Sheku is one of the most outstanding Coaches, who left Sierra Leone to participate in the Common Wealth Games on July 23rd 2022 when police declared him wanted for an alleged role in a peaceful demo.

On that rainy day, tens of thousands of youth gathered in some part of the capital city to protest against bad governance, poor service delivery and high cost of living in the country.

Though, Sierra Leone’s living standard is inadequate for the needs of its projected 7 million citizens.

Prolonged and sporadic unrealistic manifesto promises of SLPP government is a common practice in the capital city and rural areas, as this unsolved menace is a source of frustration for the people of Sierra Leoneans over the years.

Unconfirmed sources reaching this medium have disclosed that Sheku Kamara was clearly seen among hundreds of youth that allegedly resisted and challenged Military personnel and OSD officers in a face-to-face confrontation during the deadly protest.

Sheku is popularly known for its strong loyalty and support to the main opposition All People’s Congress Party (APC) as it is the stronghold of the APC party. Despite several warning from state authority on Sheku’s radical activities on awareness campaigns against the SLPP government.

Confirmed sources have also revealed that about ten people including a teenager were reported dead and many wounded.

Sources informed this medium that both the police and soldiers began firing into the sky to disperse the angry crowd, adding that some youth who were directly involved in the protest including Sheku Kamara were fortunate to have escaped on that day.

Report furthered that the protesters retaliated against the security force by pelting stones while security forces kept on firing live rounds bullet towards the protesters.

Following the sudden escape of Sheku, OSD officers, soldiers and loyal thugs of Sierra Leone People’s Party went on a searching spree at his house, but were nowhere to be found and his family is in hiding.

Furthermore, reports monitored by this medium revealed that a death threat warning was left for Skeku couple with a ‘Bench Warrant’ form the High Court of Sierra Leone “that any time or anywhere he is seen that will be his demise or face a long jail team for his alleged involvement in the protest against the SLPP led government of President Julius Maada Bio.”

They described the action of Sheku and other youth as disobedient. In a press statement put out late on Monday by the government stated that the government was aware of a “potential loss of lives”, without providing details.

The statement furthered that any attempt to undermine public peace would be met with “the fullest force of the law.”

Since Sheku disappeared on that fateful day his exact location cannot be found.

Reports added that SLPP thugs who were assigned to search for him have promised not to rest until they lay their bare hands on Sheku.

These disgruntled SLPP thugs have vowed to teach Sheku a great deal of life’s lesson which himself will not live to tell the story.

An angry SLPP thug stated that he will personally kill Sheku wherever he finds him.

Following the 2018 elections that saw President Dr. Julius Maada Bio’s SLPP government many supporters loyal to the main opposition APC party that were identified as very active have suffered bitter confrontation at the hands of these SLPP thugs while some have lost their lives and properties in the process of fleeing from these thugs.

Sources within the confines of SLPP thugs have disclosed to this medium that Sheku Kamara could not be an exception, adding that he can continue to hide as long as he can, but will surely ran out of break one day.
