Thirty-four-years-old Francis Sahr Lebbie, a housemaid, had made another appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba Road Court No.1 in Freetown on two counts ranging from larceny in a dwelling house contrary to Section 13 (1) of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence on Wednesday 10th April 2024 at number 12 Sir Samuel Lewis Road the western area in Freetown with intent to steal entered the dwelling house of Abu Bakarr Barrie and stole therein eight thousand and fifty United States Dollars equivalent to one hundred and eighty and three thousand Leones all to the total value of one hundred and ninety two thousand nine hundred and eighty Leones (192,980) property of Abu Bakarr Barrie
Count two further stated that on the same date and place the accused with intent to steal, he entered the dwelling house of Mohamed Barrie and stole therein five thousand Leones(5,000) property of the said Mohamed Barrie.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused, no plea was taken.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Ibrahim S Mansaray was the led Prosecution Witness number three. Sub Inspector Abu Tutu Bangura says he lives at Hastings attached at the Criminal Investigation Department Congo Cross police station he recognized the complainant and the accused in this matter on the 10th April 2024 whilst on duty the complainant made a report and upon that himself together with the scene of crime officer DPC 13874 Emmanuel J and the complainant, at . 12 Sir Samuel Lewis Road, the scene of crime, he observed and discovered that his room doors was ransacked and damaged the scene of crime officer took photographs of the damaged doors and was developed into pictures the witness said himself the complainant and the accused went to the station he obtained statements from the complainant and witnesses.
On the 10th April 2024 himself together with Sergeant 7733 Conteh G obtained voluntary caution statement from the accused in Krio language which was recorded in English language at the conclusion of the statement it was read over and explained to the accused in Krio language which he admitted it to be true and correct by afflicting his right hand thumbprint witness by Sergeant 7733 Conteh G and he signed as the recorder voluntary caution statement from the accused was produced and tendered in court to form part of the court records marked as exhibit A1-14.
On the 16th April 2024 himself and DPC 18177 Bewah J.F obtained charge the accused with the offence of larceny of a dwelling house. The statement was obtained in Krio language which was recorded in English language and at the conclusion of the charge statement it was read over and explained to the accused person in Krio language which he admitted it to be true and correct by afflicting his right hand thumbprint witness by DPC 18177 Bewah J.F and he signed as the recorder since then the charge statement was in the custody of the police which he produced and tendered in court to form part of the court records marked as exhibit B1-3 he conclude.

Meanwhile, Magistrate Kekura adjourned the matter to the 17th September 2024 and the bail for the accused continues.
