Sierra Leonean footballer, Alpha Bedor Conteh, has recently registered his dissatisfaction over his less playing time at Neftchi Baku, a professional football club in Azerbaijan.
The Leone Stars forward, Conteh is playing as a left-winger, and he had earlier inked a two-and-a-half-year deal with an additional year option at Neftchi Baku.
“I don’t like to go to someone and say why I don’t play. I don’t want to blame my problem on the team. I need more chances to my football career that I believe will also increase my experience in the pitch, 5-10 minutes is not enough for a professional player.
“I want to play more! If it continues like this until the end of the season, I will make a decision. I say again, I love Neftchi and I want to help my team. I’m willing to give everything to win, just to play alone.” Conteh’s professional journey started with Central Parade Football Club in the Sierra Leone Premier League before his stints for Israeli and Bulgarian club prior, that is to his move to Azerbaijan.
Notably, he had signed a new deal with Bulgarian top-tier club Lokomotiv Plovdiv before joining Neftchi Baku.
Previously, Conteh had showcased his skills while playing for FC Hapoel Rishon Lezion in Israel.
Having made his senior debut for the Sierra Leone National Team in a friendly match against Algeria, Conteh’s eagerness to contribute on the field reflects his dedication to both his club and country.
