One of the most outstanding Sierra Leone’s female referees, Aminata Fullah, has been selected as Africa’s elite referee by CAF to officiate the significant Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
Slated from July 5 to July 26, 2025, WAFCON will feature Fullah among a selected group of top female officials entrusted with overseeing key matches across the competition.
Fullah’s career earned her FIFA badge in 2024. Despite the challenges, her job has been marked by trailblazing achievements including being the first female referee from the North East region with a FIFA badge and strong showings in domestic competitions, such as the Women’s Premier League and regional Super Ten events.
This year’s CAF selection underscores Fullah’s rapid rise and international recognition. WAFCON 2025 is returning to Morocco with a full roster of elite African female referees.
