As the political dialogue between the ruling SLPP government and All People’s Congress APC gets underway in Freetown, members of All Political Parties Association (APPA), on Thursday 12th October 2023 paid a special visit to the Minister of Sports, Madam Augusta James-Teima, at her Bishop House office, Brookfields in Freetown.

They congratulated her and pledged their total support to the ministry. “We are happy for your appointment as female Sports Minister for the first time in the history of Sierra Leone. We are ready to work with President Bio and appointing you is not by mistake. We believe in your positive advice over the years as member of APPA,” they said.

In response, Madam Minister expressed special thanks for their visit. “I’m feeling at home. It shows how important I am to you. The love you have for me is really great. Let’s continue to work as a formidable team for the development of Mama Salone. Sports is development, and APPA is part of the majority development strives,” she stressed.

The minister assured that her doors are always open for positive discussions on sports and nation building, adding that the government is set to promote all sporting disciplines in the country under her are watch.
