Over the years, the Wise Bird, has been receiving calls and messages from people in respect of the poor leadership of President Bio and on some of the things his government has been doing that are not in the best interest of the people of Sierra Leone.

Thank God, the Wise Bird does not belong to any of the political parties in the country; only that the bird has friends in almost all the political parties in the country.

In view of what the brave bird has just said, that is more the reason he calls things by their proper names regardless of which party the person belongs to.

The most respected and uncompromising animal will say without hesitation that, since President Bio came to power in 2018, “the economy is in shambles,” the prices of essential commodities are higher than the sky above us, and lawlessness is at its highest peak like the Bintumani mountain, corruption is nothing good to write home about, and no price control in both the public and private transportation and a lot more, has been happening which should not be happening for Good.

All these negative things are all centered on the President and him alone, as he is the head, but coming to look from another perspective, he is not the only one in the government circle. And so could he be blamed alone? After all he is the Father. So he must be blamed for many wrong things.

For instance, the President like Bio appoints a Cabinet to assist him, he appoints Directors in all parastatals, all of these appointees are to assist the President, and the question is they [the appointees] really committed in assisting the President?

After a though research by the bird, he discovered that, most of President Bio’s appointees are in those position just to amass wealth for themselves and their families.

About 70-80% of President Bio’s appointees are square pegs in round-holes, take for instance, the Minister of Trade he cannot control prices of goods, the Inspector General of Police he cannot stop lawlessness in the country, the Minister of Transport he cannot normalize the transportation fares in the country, the Minister of Information cannot inform and educate the people accurately, the Minister of Labour cannot handle labour matters, the Minister of Youths cannot bring the youths together, the Minister of Works cannot take a good care of the roads in the country, the Ministry of Energy with two deputies cannot work together to bring the power light to enjoy , over and above all the Chief Minister cannot supervise the Ministries to the satisfaction of the people.

The Wise Bird will say without hesitation that, all the blames the President is getting are on account of his wrong appointment of Ministers and other appointees.

Most of President Bio’s appointees are arm-chair appointees, how can they work?

In order to get the views of the people in sensitive issues, the bird always goes out to get the views of people.

All most all those the bird spoke with are in sympathy with the President for appointing the wrong people in holding important positions of trust.

Some people were very quick to say, the President is not serious and so he will never as always appoint serious people to hold serious positions.
