The most respected animal will never relent in pointing out the odds in society as long as it is for the general good of the people and by extension the country as a whole.

Bra Parrot is not like other journalists that hit only once and forget about the issue for personal reasons.

The bird has been drawing the attention of those responsible for the roads network in the country but no action has been taken in that respect.

In fact, it’s not only the wise bird that has drawn the attention of those responsible for the poor condition of the roads in the city, Lawmakers, Civil Society Organizations and even other journalists have raised similar concerns on the same issue, but all have fallen in deaf ears.

It is no secret that, certain people now in the Bio’s administration funded the 2018/2023 general election campaign, but that should not be a license for them not to be sacked if they fail to perform in their various responsibilities.

Everybody will agree with the bird that the numbers of potholes in the city are increasing at every tick of the clock with no attention paid by those concerned.

One starts to wonder whether the all the monies meant for the roads maintenance in the country are properly utilized by those responsible or are only lining their pockets.

The bird will not look back or even hesitate to say that the Sierra Leone Roads Authority (SLRA) is the worst institution in the Bio’s government.

If it would have been in the animal kingdom where the bird has enormous powers to sack, the Director and other senior workers in that vital institution would have been sacked, because the number of potholes in the city and its environs, if one is to count them one year will not be enough to do so.

What makes matters worst is that, in front of SLRA office there are road cracks and potholes, potholes on the newly constructed Goderich Street have increased more than before the so-called construction was done, not to talk about the two main streets to enter the city, Fourah Bay and Kissy Roads.

In fact, Fourah Bay Road approaching Eastern police has been completely abandoned by the Authority.

The bird spoke to few people in respect of the potholes in the city. They angrily said SLRA need not exit because government is just wasting money to pay its workers for doing nothing.

The bird will never stop drawing the attention of the Authority to do the needful in the interest of the nation.

The bird has been commended for being so patriotic.
