Thirty-five years old Santigie Kamara, an OSD officer made another appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba Road Court No.1 in Freetown on a count charge of Murder contrary to section 1 of the offence against the person Act 1861 as repealed and replaced by Section 1 (a) to the schedule of the abolition of the death penalty Act 2021 Act No.6 of 2022.

When the charge was read and explained to the accused person No plea taken
Sergeant 9939 Mohamed Lahai led in Prosecution witness number two Maseray Nallah a business woman he recognized the accused person as a family friend she know Francis Amara Kanneh now deceased as a family friend to her she said the relationship between the deceased and the accused person are two brothers she recall on the 19th January 2025 on the above date she was at shop within few minutes the accused person arrived by then the deceased was inside her shop breaking the accused request for energy drink and she give it to him and request for the money the accused said he is coming back the accused came back and he met his brother and he told his brother now deceased that he came for him the accused person was fully dressed with his OSD uniform the witness said she had firing the accused Cooke the gun and shoots his brother three times blood was oozing from the deceased the witness said she shouted people come out during that they carter her properties away the sister of the deceased took his remains at Basa Town CiD officer came to her shop and obtained statements from her after that they went to Kankely cemetery where the deceased was laid to rest

Meanwhile Magistrate Kekura refused bail sent the accused person to the male correctional facility in Freetown based on the seriousness of the offence charged matter adjourned to the 20th March 2025.
