Twenty-two-years-old Ahmed Tarawalie, a caretaker made another appearance before Magistrate Mary Julian Gbloh of Pademba Road court no.5 in Freetown on a count charge of fradulent conversion.
According to the particulars of offence on a date between 1st to 25th April 2025 at Leicester Peak Road the mountain rural district the western area in Freetown, the accused fraudulently converted to his own use or benefit certain property that is to say one roll outdoor scart cables, four rolls speakers and camera cables all to the total value of seven thousand eight hundred Leones(7,800) entrusted to him by Ahmed Kamara for the purpose of safekeeping.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused person, no plea was made.
The prosecutor Sergeant 5598 Santigie Koroma led four witnesses including the formal witness who tendered various exhibits respectively and he closed his case.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Gbloh granted bail to the accused person in the sum of fifty thousand Leones with two sureties in like sum sureties to produce valid identity card depicting his or her address in Freetown.
A bail is to be approved by the Deputy assistant Registrar while the matter comes up again July 11th 2025.
