Since the appointment of Justice Komba Kamanda as the new Chief Justice of this small West Africa nation by His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio, Bra Parrot has been getting sleepless nights with calls and messages from the public to know from the wisest and nationalistic citizen who the new man is in terms of commitment, hard work and most importantly to allay their fears that he can deliver justice fairly like his predecessor, given that many innocent people have been robbed of their rights over the period.

The new Chief Justice replaces the former acting Chief Justice Nicolas Brown-Marke, whom these concerned citizens described as one of the most decent, upright and outstanding Judges not only in the Judiciary but the country in general.

Their concerns however did not come as a surprise to the senior citizen because he knows they want to enquire from him as most reliable source about the activities, behaviors and or operations not only about the new CJ but other government officials particularly those in the Judiciary sector.

The bird as usual went out to get the views of other people as he also does not know everything.

According to those the bird contacted expressed their impression about the new Chief Justice, noting that immediately the learned Judge assumed office; he made a number of changes geared towards the general transformation of the sector for the benefit of all and sundry.

According to Bra Parrot’s personal findings, the new CJ has also immediately assigned Judges to five (5) districts in the country including Tonkolili, Pujehun, Kono, Kambia and Koinadugu not only to make the workload easier but to ensure that justice is expended in a transparent and accountable manner.

Within the investigation, the wise animal also gathered that about 174 criminal cases are to be expeditiously tried by these Judges.

In addition to the appointment of the five judges already, the bird was also informed that the new Chief Justice is pushing for the recruitment and deployment of more judges in the remaining districts across the country.

The Bird believes this is a remarkable beginning for the new and desirous Chief Justice for which he expresses his appreciation and urged his learned friend to do more.

In general, the bird was also reliably informed that, Justice Kamanda is pushing a case for the improvement of conditions of service for workers in the Judiciary sector.

Bra Parrot extended bravo to Mr. CJ and wished him well in his position.
