The District Traffic Officer (DTO) of Kissy police division (Shell Police Post) Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Reuben is one of the finest police officers that this country can proud of. Most people this medium has contacted in the east and his former deployment areas described him as unique, hardworking, patriotic and very intelligent that does not mix up matters because of personal gains.

In fact, those who know him better disclosed that in most instances, he is in the habit of advising drivers to abide by the traffic rules rather than lay ambush for them as other unprofessional traffic officers who are only in the habit of collecting money from drivers for little crime committed.

They also maintained that, he is in the habit of orientating personnel under his control to implement similar method while discharging their professional duties.

He used to caution his personnel to desist from accepting bribes which he refers to as state crime and reducing their personalities as decent police officers because the giver will always perceive you as cheap and easily bought over.

Perhaps this is why his second-in-command Inspector Umaru Koroma is exhibiting similar character at his post at Jui. Despite the tedious nature of manning traffic at Jui Junction which is diversified with traffic flow, the point is always under total police control.

Most people who en route Jui Junction always give credit to traffic police officers manning that post because of their professionalism to stop traffic jam at any given time.

One of the major factors that was deduced by pedestrians and other road users was the exhibition of exemplary traffic police job by Inspector Koroma and his team.

One community stakeholders Pa Alimamy Kargbo expressed admiration in the professionalism exhibited by those police officers who are manning that very sensitive post which is compounded with dense population of business people, crisscross of traffic, pedestrians, domestic animals (cattle, goat etc) and above it all the students from COMAHS, Jui College, Theological Colleges and host of learning institutions, yet, the place is always calm in terms of accident, which is why many people believe that if this is the way other police officers perform their professional duty the slogan of the SLP “Force for Good” will portray its real meaning.
