The traditional Sierra Leone People’s Party ( SLPP ) no longer resonates as a Party of dignity and pride. With the recent electoral ethos, the Party is now in a moment of uncertainty, peril and shame which has threatened the party to spiral out of control.
The vicious reaction from the recently concluded women’s leadership election held in Kenema by the authorities of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP ) clearly shows how the establishment is inept and nonchalant to the cause of loyalty from the grassroots membership of the Party with a bemused shrug of outcome.
This election has exposed the decaying part of the New Direction Establishment with an appalling display of factionalism, separation, and proxyism that has taken over the SLPP Party. Imposition of a wish against the wish of the willing and democracy, and the entire membership of the SLPP is a pungent and smearing stir of disunity and hatred with an exposure of an obscene attitude of prejudice.
Such action or attitude exposed in the concluded Women’s leadership election is a collection of self-induced hallucination and Parody. It is a total barricade against the general desire of the grassroots supporters who have seen this action as a colossal attack on their Integrity and voting rights, and have mirrored the exasperating reality of the attitude by some party authorities.
With the recent election Saga, supporters of the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party ( SLPP ) are being paralysed with fear of upsetting the leadership of the Party as it is being taken out of control by those with influence and authority within the Party.
With the collapse of law and order in the SLPP Party, the reality is being exposed in the recently concluded Women’s leadership election in Kenema with a serious crisis of extraneous patriotism that is revealing the disposable engagement of the Party supporters, which is a crass exaggeration of the unusual SLPP style of doing things
Electoral discomfort of ethos is being expressed in the concluded leadership election. The doctrine of ” One People, One Country” is no longer conceived as a mutual obligation amongst Party supporters as authoritarianism has broken the party’s legitimacy and folded the Party interest into a personality Cult of an agency of Paopanism and the JMB fussy checks
With all that is unfolding now in the SLPP Party leadership, is there anything that used to be known as ” One People, One Country”? As the spectacle unfolds, the powerless are seemingly powerless to do much about anything, while those with authority and influence do as they please.
Indeed the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP ) is now in a new era of manipulation and strategy, and set to remake the Party to the advantage of those with power and authority. Now the party has become a Party that fights for hope and survival, which will go down in the history of the party.
The SLPP Party should be bold and principled. They should not allow the party to be hijacked by a faction that will divide the party into “Us” and “them”. Don’t allow a few authorities to set the Party on a misconceived adventure that will dismantle the decent order of the SLPP Party.
The Party should be inspired by legacy and Wisdom, not by domination and bullying.
The leadership of the party has been relegated to the sidelines and has failed to execute its duty. The SLPP Party can no longer afford to linger in the authority of the few.
The vision of the “One People, One Country” politics is now wracked by elemental factional forces, and these factional blocs are at their very least a vivid symptom of disunity, hatred, and division in the SLPP Party.
Can history repeat itself in the SLPP? Such a similar Saga and outburst have been envisaged in the Party during its time of failure when the Party languished in opposition and was prone to darkness with rambling introspection about the affairs of the Sierra Leone People’s Party ( SLPP ).
Patriotism in the SLPP Party is now at its low ebb, and supporters’ outrage is at a terminal decline in parallel with the outcome of the Women’s manipulated leadership election, which shows the lack of a comprehensive leadership. At the moment, there are concerns from the grassroots supporters that, there are huge malpractices that are being viewed through the lens of the authority.
The chorus of discontent is getting higher in the SLPP Party, and it’s time for the leadership of the Party to step in to correct the electoral injustices within the Party and help end the grudge and factional division. The Party’s top priority should be to create peace and Unity and avert internal feud and humiliation.
!!LONG LIVE THE PEOPLE OF SIERRA LEONE 🇸🇱
!! GOD BLESS US ALL!!
