Sierra Leonean FIFA referees Umu Marrah and Precious Amara have left for Senegal.
And Rashid Conteh and Aminata Fullah have set off to Egypt for a CAF course.
While Umu Marrah and FIFA-badged assistant referee Precious Amara have departed for Senegal today Saturday, May 18 following their selection by the West African Football Union (WAFU Zone A) to help officiate the U-20 Female tournament which is scheduled to take place from May 20th to May 30th.
Rashid Conteh and Aminata Fullah have also set off from Sierra Leone to Egypt to take part in the CAF New FIFA Referee course in Cairo.
The course is slated for Cairo from Monday, May 20 to Saturday, May 25 2024. This training programme was instituted by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in 2014 for new CAF FIFA Referees and it aims to give FIFA referees firsthand knowledge on new regulations and laws of the game.
The new FIFA referees and assistant referees will focus on enhancing their skills in the physical, theoretical, and technical aspects of refereeing.
