The work on the artificial turf is presently on its conclusion stage at the Port Loko playing field, report says.
The installation of the artificial turf had commenced in Port Loko mini stadium few months ago.
With support from world governing body, FIFA and (SLFA ) Sierra Leone Football Association, football turfs are concurrently under construction.
The five top-notch playing fields under rehabilitation by FIFA and SLFA: the SLFA academy, Approved school field, Port Loko field, and Bo Coronation field.
They are being built to help defeat the long-standing challenges of poor football infrastructure in the country.
FIFA-SLFA’s artificial turf construction project has recently received a significant boost following the arrivals of containers filled with working materials unloaded at the SLFA Academy in Kingtom, Freetown.
