Ishmael Koroma 41yrs-old and his wife Ruth Saio Conteh 45yrs- old have both been remanded for misconduct in court by the principal Magistrate Kekura of the Pademba Road court No.1 for an alleged wounding.
They appeared before the court on three counts charged of wounding a person.
The crime is contrary to section 20 of the offense against the person Act of 1861, and for two counts, they were held for assaulting or occasionally actual bodily harm to a person as contrary to section 47 of the offenses against the person Act of 1816.
According to the indictment both accused persons on Friday 12th April 2024, at No.9 Benjamin Lane maliciously wounded one Zainab Bangura and also assaulted her in a manner thereby causing an occasioning on her actual bodily harm.
After the charges were read to them they pleaded not guilty.
But Magistrate Kekura remanded both accused persons for misconduct in court and adjourned the matter to the 29th of May for further proceedings.
