As the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) prepares for its next regional elections, the time has come for delegates to reflect deeply on the qualities needed in a true leader, one who embodies loyalty, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication to the party’s values. In this light, Hon. Manso Abu Dumbuya emerges as the most fitting and deserving candidate for the position of Chairman in the western region.

Hon. Dumbuya’s track record speaks volumes. In the face of trials and adversity, he remained a stalwart pillar of the SLPP. During some of the party’s most difficult times, when support wavered and hopes were dimmed, Manso stood firm. His loyalty never faltered. He fought relentlessly to keep the SLPP’s vision alive and burning bright, even when personal hardship threatened to slow him down.

One cannot forget his instrumental role in the 2018 General Elections. Though he was battling health challenges at the time, he pressed on with remarkable courage and resilience, contributing significantly to the party’s victory. His sacrifice is a testament to his commitment — not to personal gain, but to the greater good of the SLPP and the people it serves.

We often say in Krio, “Nor forget for look wusie you buck u foot.” Indeed, we must never forget those who held the line when others hesitated. Hon. Manso Abu Dumbuya is one of those rare leaders who have consistently placed the party above self, time and time again. He has paid his dues, not with words, but with action, sacrifice, and loyalty.

As delegates prepare to make their decision, the choice could not be clearer. Let us rally behind a man who has already proven himself, not just in times of triumph, but in times of challenge. Let us support Hon. Manso Abu Dumbuya for Chairman of the Western Region. He has earned our trust and deserves our vote.
