The Iranian Government has expressed gratitude to Hon. Ibrahim Tawa Conteh and his delegation for attending a recent international event.
He is the Deputy Speaker of the Sierra Leone Parliament.
The event was an highlight of the enduring bilateral relations between the two nations, Sierra Leone and Iran.
Iran government acknowledged its past contributions to Sierra Leone in areas such as health, agriculture, technology, and education, and it signaled out a desire to deepen cooperation in trade, medical facilities, and in other sectors.
The Deputy Speaker, Hon. Ibrahim Tawa Conteh, in his remarks, conveyed a congratulatory message from Sierra Leone’s President, His Excellency Dr. Julius Maada Bio to President Pezeshkian. Hon. Conteh expressed optimism on the potentials to further strengthening ties between the two countries. He said mutual visits and positive or meaningful exchanges between the two parliaments could foster shared learning and development.
The Deputy Speaker also underscored Sierra Leone’s welcoming business environment and has invited Iranian investors to explore opportunities in Sierra Leone.
The visit was not only a significant political transition in Iran but also underscored the potential for expanding collaboration between Iran and Sierra Leone, particularly in fostering sustainable development and economic growth.
The event which drew dignitaries across the globe, included delegation from Sierra Leone, led by the Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Ibrahim Tawa Conteh; Hon. Daniel Brima Koroma Deputy Opposition Leader from Koinadugu district and Hon. Alpha Ben Mansaray from Moyamba district.
