Bra Parrot like all other workers needs to rest after some hard work and as such the brave bird wants to go on leave to be able to rest and to put ideas together for the development of this country.
But during the period Bra Parrot was on leave, the brave bird had been very much concerned about the security situation in the country.
The brave bird had been pondering over the term ‘security’ which caused a lot of headache for Bra Parrot to really grasp the meaning.
After a critical and logical thinking with the help of a pocket Oxford Dictionary, Bra Parrot came to realize that internal security is a very important aspect that needs government’s utmost attention.
Government needs to lay much emphasis on the internal security of its people.
However, when Bra Parrot was on leave, the brave bird received series of complaints from peaceful citizens especially those in the East-End of Freetown, expressing bitterness over the risk that has forced their lives as a result of the rampant armed robbery in the East-End.
Bra Parrot holds the view that, since the people of this country have tasted the bitter pills of a prolonged civil war, government needs to see that the lives and properties of the people are protected at all times to the fullest.
Bra Parrot is therefore calling on government to take some quick and appropriate measures to combat this frequent armed robbery incidents in the city.
The internal security of any country is very paramount and the authorities need to be very conscious about it at all times.
The police force must be well equipped by the government to enable them clamp down on the nocturnal activities of these ruthless armed robbers.
Bra Parrot being a peaceful bird and having the country at heart would not like to see awful things happening to his compatriots.
It is really pathetic and heart rendering for someone to labour hard over the years to acquire properties only for those properties to just vanish in one night through the handwork of armed robbers, thus depriving the person from enjoying the fruit of his or her labour.
Government should act promptly to remedy this ugly situation as the people are desperately in need of safety and protection.
And now that the elections are very close, security must be put in place to see that the lives and properties of people are safe.
But from what Bra Parrot had noticed, the government is not too serious about the security of the people.
