The Wise Bird has been getting sleepless nights thinking as to who is the current Minister of Energy.

When the former Minister Alhaji Kanja Sesay resigned as Minister, the President in his wisdom took over the Ministry with the expectation that the situation will improve rapidly.

But to the disappointment of the people, the advent of President Bio worsens the situation. The wise bird was sitting near a house in the eastern part of the city, and that house has gone for days or weeks without light.

The question the Wise Bird is asking is that, what was the need for the President to take over the Ministry of Energy, when he himself cannot bring light to the people as some parts in the east are permanently dark.

The Wise Bird is of the view that, if the President feels he cannot work with some of his appointees, why can’t he show them the exit door, rather than keeping them at his own detriment and the people they ought to serve.

Some of the people the President is working with are not working in his interest, rather they work only to amass more wealth for themselves and families, but at the end, the PREZO shares the blame.

The Wise Bird cannot give out any tangible reason(s) for the continuous power-cut in the city at a time like this in the rainy season when there is plenty of water in the dam.

Whatever class some people might want to put the Wise Bird, the reality is that, the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) is presently campaigning for the opposition thus cleaning the road for their coming.

The Wise Bird flew from the East to West to get firsthand information in respect of the light situation in the West; the situation is all the same, those in the West are crying more than those in the East.

As usual the bird moved out to sound the views of people, and all those the bird came in contact with expressed similar sentiments in respect of the light situation in the city. Others are even asking whether President Bio is still the Minister of Energy or has passed on the baton.

Some people described the President as a joker, saying that he has just given himself what people call “a bad name”.

Some of the people said President Bio cannot manage a Ministry let alone to talk about managing a whole country.

Mr. Alpha Thuraya, who the bird came in contact with said, people used to say ‘na lite we dae eat’? “Now the light is no longer here to eat, what do we eat now?” he asked.
