Koya Sokoma organization on Sunday May 11th 2025 elected Mr. Hassan Sesay as their new chairman.

The election was conducted in a peaceful atmosphere in the Portloko District North of Sierra Leone.

Chairman Hassan Sesay defeated his opponent Mr. Osman Conteh by a very large margin, a clear show that Mr. Sesay is the favorite choice among the electors.

In an exclusive interview with the newly elected Chairman, Mr. Hassan Sesay, he gave thanks to God Almighty for making it possible to conduct the election in a peaceful atmosphere and to all those who have sacrificed their money and time to vote for him.

He went further to say that election, everywhere, is not a do or die battle; it is just a way of getting the right person in the right place and at the right time.

He however called on his opponent Mr. Osman Conteh and all his supporters to team up with him to continue building up the organization as, he said, he alone cannot do it all by himself without the support of other members.

He called on all members of the organization to join hands together for the betterment of the organization.
