Keifala Daboh, a twenty two-years-old, a labourer has made his first appearance before magistrate John Manso Fornah of Pademba Road Court No.2 on Wednesday, 12th June, 2025.
He is defending himself on three count charges which include: malicious damage, escaping from a lawful custody in a police cell and disorderly behaviours.
According to the particular of offence that you on Friday 30th May, 2025, at Aberdeen Police Station, in Freetown, the accused maliciously damaged one cell door value three thousand Leones (NLe3,000) which property of Sierra Leone Police.
Count two revealed that on the same date and place above, being charged prisoner awaiting trial, he did escape from a lawful detention.
Count three further said that on the same date and place above, he did behave in a disorderly manner.
When the charges were read and explained to the accused person, the accused pleaded guilty on all count charges against him.
The state prosecutor 18235 Thoronka K. relied on the facts as charged and led Sergeant 11044 P. B. Smart and his colleague Constable 17789 attached to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), on Aberdeen Police Station, interviewed the accused person in respect of escaping from a lawful custody and for other crimes above.
He further said that the statement of the accused was made in Creole and recorded in English by 17789 Kargbo which he he read.
The voluntary cautioned the statement of the accused produced and tendered in court which was marked as Exhibit A1- 4″.

Magistrate Fornah refused bail because of the seriousness of the offence charged and sent him on remand to the male correctional facility in Freetown matter adjourned to the 20th of June, 2025, for record and sentence.
