Twenty-three year old David Sesay, a labourer made his first appearance before Magistrate Augustine Brima Samura of Pademba Road Court No.8 in Freetown on a count charge to wit loitering with intent contrary to section 8 of the Public Order Act No.46 of 1965.
According to the particulars of offence on Sunday 15th June 2025 at Kabba Road, Regent village in the Mountain Rural district in the western area in Freetown was found loitering with intent to commit a felony.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused person he pleaded guilty.
The Prosecutor Detective Police Constable 14898 Joseph Lamin Dumbuya tendered both the voluntary caution statement and the charge statement of the accused person in court.
The accused person was not legally represented he plead with the Magistrate to tamper justice with mercy on his behalf.
Due to the plea mitigation by the accused person, Magistrate Samura sentenced him to one month imprisonment to the male correctional facility in Freetown.
