Lama Bah, of Deep Eye Water, Waterloo in the Western Area Rural District has been declared as a wanted person by the Sierra Leone for his involvement in the August 10, 2022 insurrection to topple the legitimate authority of President Julius Maada Bio.

Youth, on that fateful went on the rampage and calling for the removal of President Bio. They claimed, that their action was due to the high cost of living, mass youth unemployment, human rights violations against perceived opposing views and the government incompetency to ameliorate their plight as they continue to wallow in abject poverty.

They further stated that the government has rendered them useless, after bogus promises during electioneering campaigns.

The August 10, 2022 insurrection left many people dead including six police officers, host of government properties in Freetown and the North province were vandalized and set ablaze.

Those that were involved in the action against the State are termed as coupists.
