With the passionate dream of promoting the health of people in Kaffu-Bullom, one of the most outstanding charitable organizations in the country, Lion Mountain Carita Foundation which is based in USA, has donated three skryker electronic model beds to some Lungi hospitals.
A mixture of the donations were made to Lungi Government Hospital, Bai Bureh Memorial Community Hospital, Mahera and Love Bridges Health Center Surgical Department in Lokomasama Chiefdom, Port Loko District, Sierra Leone, and they include other medical machines, worth over $60 thousand dollars.
The landmark event took place on Tuesday 14th January, 2025 within the two municipalities.
“We have constructed a radiology building which is about eighty (80%) complete. We have acquired through benevolent donations advance medical equipment and some of which include but not limited to a CT scan machine, stationary and portable x-ray machines, ultrasound machines, EKG machines, crash charts, and patients’ bedside monitors, maternal and general hospital beds, stretchers, Solar Panels, Power Plant and Generators and vehicles etc,” said

Prince Kofie Nynatakyi , Deputy Director of LMCF, said their aim is to become the number one choice among the people especially when it comes to healthcare service delivery in the whole of Sierra Leone. They are also aiming to be amongst the top best 5 healthcare service providers in the country within the next 10 years.
LMCF is into business as well and has established a First Class hospital that will take care of both highly placed clients and low placed clients to be able to afford their services.
“We want to become one of the leaders in health care services industry in Sierra Leone, and among our neighboring countries.
“They are working towards the improvement on the quality of life and empowerment of children, youth, community and families living within the urban and rural areas – with particular emphasis on the unprivileged, through intensive capacity building interventions, thereby igniting possibilities through education and health activities with special focus on women, children and socio-economically deprived sections of society,” he said.
Mohamed Fonti Mansaray, Programs Manager and Admin said the vision of the LMCF, is highly focused on Community Livelihood Program (CLP) to develop a Livelihood program which incorporates the ideas and insights of a wide range of stakeholders. The design or package would contain ways to acquire human, social, financial, and physical capital, to integrate women livelihoods development programs in other sectors, and to build the capacity of local service providers.
“Our livelihood program seeks to engage and support youth, most of whom are already economically active and focused on the immediate needs of their households, and who desire more sustainable and socially constructive livelihood pathways,” Mr. Mansaray said.
In his responses, Dr. Alusin Yilla, Head of Lungi Government Hospital and Co., expressed his deepest applications to LMCF for their timely aids, noting that the facilities will be properly used for the intended purpose.
In a similar trend, Father Ignazio, Head of Love Bridges Heath Center Surgical Department, Lokomasama said LMCF is a reputable charitable organization in the world.
He stated that the Lokomasama hospital has 60 medical doctors from Italy who have been carrying out different surgical operations over the years, since 2018 to date.
