Twenty-seven year old Alie Alpha Sankoh, a bike rider and twenty-two year old Martha Mansaray made another appearance before Magistrate Augustine Brima Samura of Pademba Road Court No.8 in Freetown on three count charges to wit conspiracy contrary to law, robbery with aggravation contrary to section 23 (1) (a) of the Larceny Act 1916 as replead and replaced by section 1 of the schedule of the Abolition of the Death Penalty Act 2021 Act No.6 of 2022 and accessory after the fact contrary to law.
According to the particulars of offence, on Saturday 18th January 2025 in Makeni town in Bombali District in the Northern province of Sierra Leone conspired together and with other persons unknown to commit a felony to wit robbery with aggravation.
Count two stated that on the same date and place, the accused persons being armed with sticks and cutlass robbed Mohamed Koroma the sum of nine hundred and thirteen thousand seven hundred and thirty five leones (913,735,00) property of Osman Jalloh. In
count three, that on the same date and place, the accused persons and other assisted Alie Alpha Sankoh.
When the charges were read and explained to the accused persons, no plea taken.
The Prosecutor Detective Police Constable 14898 Joseph Lamin Dumbuya indicated to the Magistrate that he has taken several adjustments in an instance of the accused person and the defense counsel H.M Gevao Esq.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Samura told the accused that if his lawyer fails to appear in court on the next adjournment date to submit his no case submission he will commit the matter to the High Court. and adjourned the matter to 7th July 2025 bail continue for the accused person.
