John Sesay, a masonry has made another appearance before magistrate John Manso Fornah of Pademba Road Court No2. on Wednesday, 11th June, 2025.
He is defending himself for house breaking and larceny.
It is recalled that on Monday 5th August, 2024, at Saba Drive Regent Village, west of Freetown, with intent to steal, he broke and entered into the dwelling house of Abdul Rahman Jalloh and stole therein the sum of seven thousand five hundred United States Dollars ($7,500) which is equivalent to the sum of fifty two thousand eight hundred loenes (NLe 52,800) and One thousand five hundred Euro (€1,500,00) equivalent to twenty six thousand seven hundred and seventy five leones (NLe 26,775,00) totalling seventy nine thousand five hundred and seventy five loenes (NLe 79,575,00) which is the money of Abdul Rahman Jalloh.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused person, no plea was taken on his first appearance.
The prosecutor Sergeant 3379 Theresa Ballay closed her case and while the file was withdrawn for judgment.
The defense counsel representing the accused person R. Koroma submitted his no case submission on behalf of his client.
Magistrate Fornah delivered his ruling that the prosecution has provided sufficient evidence to warrant the committal of the matter to High Court.
He therefore committed this matter for the accused person to stand his trial in the High Court of Sierra Leone.
