Sorie Mansaray, a Public Administration student at Milton Margai Technical University in Freetown was on Friday 10th January, 2025 a proud recipient of a brand new Suzuki jeep worth over twenty thousand United States dollars from Mercury International.
The second prize of twenty-five thousand new leones went to Ibrahim Bangura, a retailer for Mercury International.
According to the Deputy Online Manager of Mercury International, Octavos Jackson, the vehicle was the star prize of the online football betting raffle promotion they launched on August 1st 2024 that lasted for six months. He said the draw was held on January 1st, 2025 in England by their international counterparts in a way to maintain transparency. To qualify for the draw, Jackson explains, a customer needs to stake ten tickets from Monday to Sunday every week to get a raffle ticket, and that the more one plays the more chances he/she gets until the draw is held.
He said apart from this raffle draw, there are many more opportunities in the offing to continue to put smiles on the faces of their customers. Two more are on the way, one for Champions League which will start on February 1st 2025 and Vegas raffle will start in March. The star prize for both competitions is keke whilst the second prize is motorbike. Like the just concluded raffle draw, customers will also qualify for the coming two competitions by staking ten tickets of ten teams to get one raffle ticket to have one chance for the draw. Prior to the last draw, another lucky winner also walked away with a brand new motorbike.
Earlier, the Managing Director of Mercury International Martin Edmund Michael called on the winners to make good use of their winnings for the benefit of themselves and their families.
