The double champions of the Sierra Leone Women’s Premier League, Mogbwemo Queens have been crowned champions of the 2025 Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Women’s Unity Cup after edging past defending league champions Ram Kamara FC in a pulsating final at the Southern Arena in Bo City.
The Queens wasted no time in dominating, taking an early lead in the 3rd minute through star forward Fatmata Turay. But Ram Kamara FC, showing the resilience that made them last season’s champions, clawed their way back into the game when Salamatu Kamara pounced on a rebound to level the score in the 67th minute.
Despite the scores locked at 1–1 after regulation time, the clash of queens went down to the wire in a tense penalty shootout that had the entire stadium on edge.
Mogbwemo Queens held their nerves to triumph 7–6, sparking wild celebrations from players and fans alike.
The finale was graced by SLFA President Babadi Kamara and Co. with the presentation of medals and trophies.
