A Sierra Leonean named Mohamed Ali Bangura born and raised in a devoted Muslim family of five with two brothers and three sisters to a reputable community religious leader father Momoh Bangura and mother Kadiatu Mansaray a fishmonger in Tombo village, Western Area Rural District at the outskirt of the city, Freetown life is in danger.

According to reports, Mohamed was staying with his aunt Mama Mansaray a (petty trader in used shoes) who enrolled him to English school at lower level.

Reports went on that, his father being a devout Muslim saw this idea not in line with his religious practice and hence decided to stop him from attending English school to attend Arabic school instead so that he could follow his footsteps in future.

Sources say, Pa Bangura succeeded in doing that and took Mohamed back to his house. Following this development, few months later his aunt, Mama Mansaray decided to go to his father to plead with him so that Mohamed will continue with his formal education in English, however Pa Bangura instantly refused.

This medium further gathered that, the refusal though went with a high cost as Mohamed reportedly developed a very bad attitude in complete contrast with his father’s religious doctrine by engaging himself in a gay practice when he came in contact with a friend called Michael who introduced him to the act.

In Sierra Leone, same sex practice is unacceptable and widely condemned by state laws as well as traditional and religious communities regarding it as immoral and sinful and therefore will bring a curse on any family who is engaged in such abominable act.

Report indicated to this medium that Mohamed however, reportedly defied all its consequences and continued with the evil and shameful act.

Confirmed report disclosed that, Mohamed and his friend (Micky) as he was fondly called reportedly ran out of luck on 10^th December, 2018 when they were caught red handed at Bureh Beach in the act kissing and romancing in the evening hours by angry crowd.

According to reports, the two men had gone to the beach on that day to have fun but not knowing that their movements were been monitored very closely.

Eyewitness told this medium that when evening fell, Mohamed and friend decided to find a secret location to have fun of having an intimacy. But before they knew it, a large crowd armed with various weapons including sticks, bottles and stones descended upon them and started to beat them mercilessly.

The eyewitness confirmed that amidst the crowds, people were shouting by calling him by his footballer names like “he Mohamed the footballer,” some shouted “he is Neymar, others “he is Navas etc. Others also shouted he is a gay.

The eyewitness continued that they beat them and Micky decided to bear the beating so that his friend Mohamed could flee.  Report added that Micky, insisted he could not leave his friend instead they will die together. Mohamed according to eyewitness account sustained a dislocated wrist whilst trying to stop a stick from landing on his head.

The report further revealed that, the trouble kept on increasing for both men as the crowd got larger and larger beyond control. Mohamed, sources say was at the middle of the action and decided to run towards for safety.

Continuing the report added that unfortunately though he ran out of luck when a heavy stick landed on his head and fell down unconscious only to wake up in a clinic. Report further disclosed that it was at the clinic that his aunt narrated what exactly happened to him, that he was hit with a heavy stick by the angry crowd who thought he was dead at the time.

Confirmed report revealed that the angry crowd later followed his friend Micky and tortured him to death. This medium further find out that Mohamed was lucky to be alive with the help of a friend.

Gay is considered as an illegal act in Sierra Leone and nobody support or give help to anyone that is found culpable and the situation can be detrimental if reported to the police because that individual will be arrested, torture and imprison for breaking the law. Owing to this fact Mohamed’s case was never reported to the police and that was the main reason this medium discovered why he was taken to a private hospital.

However, when it became apparent that Mohamed was alive, the angry mob went straight to his house and started to stone it and injured his father within the process. Report maintained that, the desperate father in the presence of the mob insisted that he did not give birth to a gay son and that they have his blessing to kill him any time they catch him for bringing shame and disgrace to him as a respectable religious leader.

Sources also indicated that furious Pa Bangura gave his son’s identity to the police to arrest him at any time.

This medium uncovered that, Mohamed been traumatized by this ugly development, was living in constant fear and wondered where to escape if he is discharged from the clinic, given that he was declared wanted both by the police and his father.

However, sources say, his aunt assured she will not leave him alone for fear of possible attack on him.

What this medium cannot confirm is when Mohamed was discharged from the clinic where he sought refuge for his own safety.
