In a heartfelt show of love and compassion, Hon. Engineer Daniel Fornah, lawmaker from the Northern District of Tonkolili, who many locals refer to as a trailblazer for development on the 7th of February 2025, donated building materials and fiscal cash worth millions of old Leones to the people of Makoya village.
The donation meant to kick start a state-of-the-art community center project in the community.
“This is the first time the village has witnessed such huge development,” says a speaker.
Makoya Community is in Yele Chiefdom.The items donated includes 50 bags of cement, 5 headpans, nails, iron rods, fiscal cash, and other building materials worth millions of old Leones in local currency.
The ceremony was attended by people from various communities in the Chiefdom, including the All People’s Congress Party executive in Constituency 052, Ward 176 and 177, respectively.
While handing over the building materials to authorities in the Makoya Community, Hon. Fornah said the construction of the community centre is part of his moves towards empowering his community and constituents.
The donation, the lawmaker, further explained a continuation of his laudable and far-reaching development achievements since he assumed office as representative of his people.
Honourable Fornah explained that his aim is to bring development to the doorstep of his constituents and call on Makoya residents to cooperate with him and his party, the All People’s Congress.
While showing appreciation to the people of Makoya village over what he described as the support extended to him, he urged them to extend the same gesture and love to the APC party, the District Chairman, and his executive.
In his remarks, the contractor of the project, Mohamed Koroma, promised of a standard building done at the stipulated time.
The town Chief extended his profound gratitude on behalf of the people of Makoya for the gesture, and he further commended the lawmaker for his unwavering commitment towards progress in terms of development.
The Chief described their MP as an experienced politician who fulfilled whatever promise he made to them.
In a display of appreciation, residents of Makoya sang songs of praises, showcasing their unflinching love and support to the Member of Parliament and the All People’s Congress Party. Hon. Fornah is a development whose philanthropic projects have touched countless lives of the community.
