At a significant event at Fabala, Opposition Chief Whip, Hon. Abdul Karim Kamara, showed his outpouring love for his people at Falaba District.
The occasion on 1st March 2025 was marked by Hon. Mohamed Alpha Bah’s handover of some building materials, which worth millions of Leones, given to the people of Gbentu for the construction of a state-of-the-art secondary school.
The event was further graced by other distinguished Parliamentarians, including Hon. Lahai Marrah and Hon. Mohamed Conteh.
The Opposition Chief Whip expressed his sincere gratitude to all the organizers, particularly with thanks to Hon. Mohamed Alpha Bah, for providing him the opportunity to visit and engage with the people.
He also took the opportunity to highlight the stark uneven distribution of national resources under the SLPP government.
He said they are constrained of good roads construction in the Northern Regions.
He specifically pointed out the dire condition of the Makeni, running to Kabala and Kabala to Gbentu roads.
Opposition Chief Whip lamented that despite the efforts of the two APC MPs in the district to advocate for the improvement of these roads, they have received no support from the government, but they are only being given empty promises.
He assured the people, however, that he would continue to work alongside the MPs to advocate for the development of these critical roads, which are vital sources of income for the region.
Opposition Chief Whip also reassured the people that despite enduring seven years of hardship under the Bio-led government, there is hope for the future.
He promised that the APC party will bring positive change, and urged supporters to remain optimistic as the next election will bring the victory that the people have long awaited for.
Hon. Mohamed Alpha Bah thanked the Opposition Chief Whip for his unwavering leadership and support for the people.
He noted that since assuming office, he has consistently advocated for the needs of his people, but there has been little progress on developments advocated for on behalf of the people.
He called on the Opposition Chief Whip to help facilitate the construction of the much-needed roads for the benefit of the people.
Hon. Mohamed Alpha Bah also urged the people to take full advantage of the opportunity presented by the school project. He emphasized his points that what he has done is just the beginning of many positive developments to come. He called on all stakeholders in the chiefdom to work together to ensure success for his project.
Hon. Lahai Marrah praised both the Opposition Chief Whip and Hon. Alpha Bah for their commitments to improving the lives of the people and their dedication to the APC party.
He reassured the people that, despite the hardships faced under the current government, the APC is determined to secure victory in the upcoming elections, a victory that he believes, is already written in the stars.
One of the attendees expressed his excitement at the visit, noting that it was the first time they had seen such a large delegation from the APC party. Despite the challenges they face, they pledged to remain resilient and continue to support the party.
In conclusion, the event was a great success, filled with optimism and hope for the future.
All attendees left with renewed confidence, hoping of APC ability to bring about positive change in Sierra Leone.
