The National Commission for Social Action (NaCSA) on Wednesday 7 May, 2025 welcomed a delegation from the Growth for Peace Consolidation and Youth Employment (GPCYE) project during an engagement held at its headquarters on Charlotte Street, Freetown.
Commissioner of NaCSA, Ernest Ndomahina, on behalf NaCSA, expressed gratitude to the GPCYE team and all attendees. He noted that the GPCYE project is progressing according to plan, with strong emphasis placed on timely delivery and quality assurance.
“NaCSA is mindful of the quality of work,” he said, emphasizing the collaboration between NaCSA engineers and contracted technical teams to ensure standards are met. He further encouraged feedback and recommendations from stakeholders to help achieve the expected outcomes.
Representing KfW, the German Development Bank, Portfolio Manager Hannah Detmering Segoin acknowledged NaCSA’s efforts in implementing the GPCYE project, which she said aims to empower Sierra Leonean youth. She noted that their presence in Sierra Leone is to gather first-hand information and assess the quality and impact of the project.
A technical adviser from KfW also highlighted the social significance of the project, reiterating their commitment to transparency and accountability. “This funding comes from German taxpayers, and we owe it to both the people of Germany and Sierra Leone to ensure this project is delivered with the highest quality,” he stated.
