Former Chief Electoral Commissioner of Sierra Leone, Mohamed N’fah Alie Conteh, has taken his wife, Agnes Shella Kumba Conteh, to court in a private civil matter.
The matter is before Justice Cosmotina Jarrett in the High Court of Sierra Leone in Freetown.
The applicant N’fa Alie Conteh filed lawsuit at the High Court in Freetown but the indictments have not yet been put to the defendant who is the wife because she was absent in court. It was confirmed that the case borders on personal disputes between the husband and wife.
The appellant N’fa Alie Conteh and his lawyer informed the court since the wife was absent, the lawyer requested an adjournment in order to apply for substituted service which is a legal process used when someone cannot be personally served court documents.
Justice Cosmotina Jarrett granted the application and adjourned the matter to Tuesday, May 13th 2025. At that time the court is expected to consider the request for substituted service.
