As the brave Bra Parrot no longer have a permanent sitting place after a day’s work, it is just too pathetic at a time like this the Chief Information Officer(Bra Parrot) is without an office to write all the stories the brave bird has received from the public.
This has been the reason the brave bird is just flying from place to place in search of news and where to sit and write these news stories.
Last week the brave bird flew all the way to Youyi Building because it is the only place the bird can find all government ministries to get the views of people about the present political climate in the country, regardless of which party they belong.
Bra Parrot went to one of the floors at Youyi Building, when the brave bird overheard a senior member of the ruling SLPP saying, “ I am not in any way supporting what is presently going on in our party by way of intimidating the opposition in the strongholds of the ruling party, what we need to know is that, we cannot stay in power forever, no condition is permanent,” he commented and a similar statement was made by the Speaker of Parliament Dr. Abass C. Bundu when he said “what goes around, comes around,” that statement did not go down well with some members of the ruling SLPP.
Bra Parrot again overheard a lady who from the discussion is a supporter of SLPP, she however, cited the case of former President Siaka Probyn Stevens who was in power for almost 20+ years and President, J.S Momoh has come and gone, Captain Strasser was in power, where is he today?, Maada Bio came before and go, the late Pa Kabbah did what he could do but where is he today?, President Ernest Koroma left before Maada was elected as President, so simply put, NO CONDITION IS PERMANENT, (5 or 10 years), one day Maada will go.
The Lady was so bold to say that, the “same police who are now arresting the opposition will be the same to arrest some of us when power is no more” she uttered.
All the speakers never knew Bra Parrot was sitting by the window, and heard all the discussion.
On the very day, the brave bird flew to the East of the city, Freetown, and stopped at the Eastern police Division round-about to see and observe what was and is still going on, and also to know why always there is traffic congestion at Eastern police division round-about.
To the dismay of the brave bird, the heavy traffic jam is caused by the traffic Police Officers themselves. After almost 20-30 minutes when the brave bird was at Eastern Police round-about to observe, it was clear, the Traffic Police are responsible for the traffic jam.
Bra Parrot noticed again that the Traffic Police Officers are stopping almost all the vehicles plying at the Eastern Police round-about all in the name of asking for booking fees of Le 20,000 per day, and per vehicle.
This is the reason in front of the Eastern police there is always traffic hold-up.
The senior Traffic Officer at the Eastern Police Traffic Division whose name Bra Parrot will be calling very soon knows about the booking deal that is going on at the Eastern Police Traffic Division.
Monies are collected from kekehs and okadas on a daily basis by Traffic Officers.
From now onwards, Bra Parrot will be at the station to see and know what is happening.
