In a recent round table discussion, the new director of National Sports Authority (NSA), Dr. Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai, has stressed the importance of proficiency and integrity in public work.
He promised accountability to the people of Sierra Leone, adding that they as workers must embrace professionalism and honesty in all their endeavors in a bid strive on transparent and accountable to satisfying the citizens of this country.
Dr. Abdulai assumed his role as Executive Director of NSA in a ceremony held on Monday, April 15th, 2024.
The NSA’s new leader also talked about the potential of sports in the country as a source of employment for many.
“As an authority, we should be seen as providers of employment and opportunities to other,” he stated.
In his response, the outgoing Executive Director, Dr. Kenneth Brima, warmly welcomed Dr. Abdulai.
“With his administrative knowledge, I have no doubt that he will succeed in leading the National Sports Authority forward,” Dr. Brima said.
He urged staff to fully support Dr. Abdulai in a bid to elevate NSA to new heights.
He also expressed his gratitude to sports fans and followers for the opportunity to serve the government and the people of Sierra Leone.
The appointment of Dr. Abdulai, who is a seasoned lawyer and football administrator, at NSA, will bring extensive knowledge particularly in football administration and all levels such as from grassroots level to professional leagues level.
