Thirty-five year old Santigie Kamara an OSD officer made another appearance before Magistrate Mustapha Braima Jah of Pademba Road Court No.1 in Freetown on a count charge of murder contrary to section 1 of the Offences against the Persons Act 1861 as repealed and replaced by Section 1 (a) to the Schedule of the Abolition of the Death Penalty Act 2021 Act No.6 of 2022.

According to the particulars of offence, on the 19th January 2025 at 5-5-5 Lorry Park Waterloo in the western rural area of Freetown murdered Francis Amara Kanneh.

When the charge was read and explained to the accused person on his first appearance, no plea taken.

The prosecutor Sergeant 9939 Mohamed Lahai has closed his case and the file was withdrawn for judgment.

Meanwhile, Magistrate Jah refused bail and sent the accused person to the male correctional facility for judgment and matter adjourned to 3rd June 2025.
