Osman Koroma, popularly known as “Kosobo,” has retained his position as Sierra Leone’s strongest man by winning the 2025 Inter-Community Strongest Man Competition last Saturday at the Deep Eye Water Playing Field in Freetown.
The defending champion faced a tough challenge from Ibrahim Kamara, the nation’s second-ranked strongman, in a closely contested battle that thrilled so many boxing spectators.
The two athletes pushed each other to their limits with much strengths before finally Koroma emerged victorious.
Koroma secured his win with dominant performances in key events, including the Farm Walk, Machine Deadlift, and Dumbbell Jerk.
In a post-competition interview, the champion expressed satisfaction over his performance and revealed his focus on the upcoming International Strongest Man Competition in Dubai next month.
Professor Sonny Johnson, the event organizer praised all participants, uttering that the race successfully provided a platform for athletes to demonstrate their strengths and skills.
He similarly commended competitors in both the Strongest Man and Tug of War contests, thus declaring the event a resounding success.
