Hon. Edwin Alpha has cautioned Ing. Samuel Jusu Alpha, who is the new Chairman of Electricity Generation and Transmission Commission (EGTC). The MP advised him on the financial probity on revenues collected from the energy sector.

The chairman’s warning comes during the approval ceremony of various appointees by His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio.

Hon Edwin made plea on Friday 9th August, 2024 in the Well of Parliament. The following people were approved lately in the well: Madam Princess Mayota Baby Rose Jah Turay and Ign. Samuel Jusu Alpha.

“Don’t eat the revenue you generate, continue to     fly the flag of Sierra Leone,” the MP warned.

He said the president Bio appointed them not because they are the finest people it is because they have a good track record.

Hon. Emilia Lolor Tongie from the government side thanked president Bio for appointing the nominees.

She said they are educated and are intelligent nominees.

She also drew the attention of the approved nominees about the challenges in their respective offices.

The MP asked them to focus on resolving those challenges.

The All People’s Congress (APC) Parliamentary Spokesman, Hon. Umpha Gbassay Koroma,  told the  nominees they should represent well Sierra Leoneans.

Hon. Koroma advised them not to personalize their offices and encouraged them to represent the country well while in their respective offices.
