It appears to the wise bird that, certain institutions are now ready to work in the interest of democracy.
One such institution that has demonstrated such feat is the Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) which was created by an Act of Parliament to oversee and or regulate the activities of all political parties in the country.
In one such marvelous and commendable move, the brave bird has been reliably informed that, the Commission has put on hold lower level elections of the governing Sierra Leone People’s Party in twenty five (25) Constituencies across the country following petitions of results in the just concluded elections.
Bra Parrot has been reliably informed that anomalies took place in those areas that warranted the Commission to put on hold elections in those areas.
From what the bird noticed, PPRC is now ready to work in the interest of the country, notwithstanding the fact that SLPP appointed the chairman.
The affected areas include Western Area, Moyamba, Bo, Kenema, Kono, Kailahun, Bombali and Port Loko districts respectively.
The Commission’s decision has delighted the bird who described it as patriotic, insisting that it is in the best interest of the nation.
This is a clear show that, PPRC is ready, willing and prepared to work notwithstanding the present chairman being appointed by the current government.
The most respected animal is very pleased with the action of PPRC that no political party in future will blame the Commission for taking such key decision against them for default.
Bravo! Bravo PPRC.
