Since 2018 the brave bird has been following the political atmosphere in the Country, and sometime talk to people who matter in society to be able to be more knowledgeable about daily happenings in Freetown and out of Freetown.

The brave bird is a regular listener to radio stations, television (TV) and speeches been made by prominent people in society.

Bra Parrot will vividly remember that before, during and after the elections of 2018 that brought the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) to power, a lot of allegations and counter allegations were made against the then government, All Peoples Congress (APC) Party.

Bra Parrot got and listened to all the speeches made by senior members of the opposition then (SLPP). Some people were saying the then APC government was spending recklessly, the SLPP government inherited a battered economy and even a blind person will find senior members of the APC government guilty of corruption.

The brave bird was very quick to understand that, a good number of those made Ministers in the first term of President have little or no knowledge in governance, that was more the reason President Maada Bio did not succeed at all because of their lapses service in doing things.

In the second term of President Bio’s government a good number of senior government Ministers were shown the exit door, for failing to live up to the expectations of the President.

Bra Parrot is of the view that, what the President did shows that, nobody is indispensable and that, and no condition is permanent under the sun.

Bra Parrot as wise as the bird is did not even imagine that, President Maada Bio will ever think of sacking people like; Jacob Jusu Saffa and Pro. David Francis from his Cabinet, this is a lesion to those who were fortunate to survived the wind.

Bra Parrot met with a lot of people that have been saying that, Mr. Jacob Jusu Saffa former Chief Minister and Professor David Francis former Foreign Affairs Minister have since missing in action.

The brave bird was reliably informed that, even those who were not shown the exit door are still not comfortable with the position they hold at the moment because their names might come up at any time for a change in position or been sack from their positions.

 Bra Parrot will be visiting the new Ministers and even the old once particularly Energy ministry, the brave bird noticed of late that, Freetown and its environs is getting frequent power shortage on a daily bases.

The brave bird only hoped that, the new Minister of Information’s temperament will not be as high as his predecessor who has now been posted to the Ministry of Labour after a long consideration by Excellency the President Dr. Julius Maada Bio whether for him to be sacked or not.

Bra Parrot is presently flying the length and breadth of the Country to see how the brand New Direction is working in the best interest of the nation.
