Contrary to the World-wide campaign by the World-Health Organization (WHO) to achieve health for all, Sierra Leone is likely to have sicknesses, if not deaths for all by the coming years.
The everyday killings of Sierra Leoneans are on the increase; natural deaths are taking their courses; other deaths due to hunger, starvation and lack of medication are also on the increase; sicknesses due to pollution caused by so many things.
The situation we are facing today is not one of just going to the Churches or Mosques to pray for ourselves and this country but one of standing strongly against Satan in a loud and clear manner as we face elections.
Our religious Leaders must now stop this self-centered politics and come up with a position statement in a concerted effort for the whole wide world to hear.
They must stand united and should hold regular meetings at a time like this, to save this nation, because no one knows what will happen come June 24 2023.
As our Leaders in the path of righteousness, leaders who should march us to the Kingdom of Heaven, now that Heaven is fast approaching, they must not abandon their Leadership roles by way of bring people together.
My brothers and sisters in the leadership cadre of religion, if you allow this country to perish, you will definitely have to account before God your maker.
You must therefore not relent in your effort to put straight to what has gone wrong. Some religious Leaders like Desmond Tutu had done it in the past.
Religious Leaders, you have a role to play or you have yourself to blame. It is now your duty to get up and direct the Leadership of this country you must be heard in saying the truth and call things by their proper names.
A Godly person does not beg the devil he/she stands up and denounce or condemn and command the devil in the name of God and not in the name of Satan.
Men of God do not compromise their faith, but men of God of today do in the name of politics.
This country has been presented with two options which are peace or democracy which one do people go for in the interest of the nation.
It is your business as religious Leaders to decide on one and lead the campaign. As religious Leaders, your definitive decision will influence a lot of people. You people have the right to talk to the one you feel is not on the path or sanction him by dissociating yourselves from him or even force him to desist by continuous total condemnation, but you are all not righteous to yourselves as religious Leaders.
Indeed, it is now time for us to hear our Bishops, Imams and other religious Leaders to talk aloud and loud about the peace of the country. They must stand up as a united front to condemn and tell people to their faces whatever that is wrong in society.
