The Sierra Leone senior Women’s Cricket team has been crowned as the BCA Kalahari Women’s T20 international tournament champions, securing victory in all seven of their matches held in Gaborone, Botswana.
Meanwhile, the final match against the host nation, Botswana, Sierra Leone posted a total of 107 runs for five wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Botswana struggled to respond, managing only 68 runs for nine wickets, which resulted in a decisive 39-run victory for Sierra Leone.
Sierra Leone was outstanding throughout the tournament. Anne Marie Monica Kamara was named Bowler of the Series, taking 12 wickets across seven innings with an impressive bowling economy of 1.79. Captain Aminata Kamara and Emma Kamara followed closely, each securing 10 wickets, earning them second and third place in the bowling rankings, respectively.
