Salone U-17 women’s national team encounter against Guinea, ended in a stalemate during the first leg of their CAF U-17 World Cup Qualifiers match, which resulted in a 2-2 draw.
The match was held on Saturday at the Southern Arena Stadium in Bo City; which saw both nations displaying determination in their quest for a spot in the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
Sierra Leone’s female team said they hope to secure a home victory. Guineans have been a formidable opponent in the race.
The draw sets the stage for a highly anticipated second leg.
In the last match, Sierra Leone players showed brilliant play but Guineans’ resilience however resulted to a match standoff.
However, the second leg of this crucial qualifier is scheduled for Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the Mamadou Konaté Stadium in Bamako, Guinea.
Equally so, teams will be looking to capitalize on their opportunities for a victory.
